Patriotic Fruit Pizza Recipe (2024)

This Patriotic Fruit Pizza is like no other fruit pizza you had before. You will never believe what is in the crust that makes it so soft, chewy, and sweet. This is way better than a sugar cookie crust. You have to try this one.

Summer is my favorite because I love summer food, and warm weather.

The 4th of July is also my favorite holiday, and barbecues with the fam? There’s nothing better.

This Patriotic Fruit Pizza will definitely be at all our summer barbecues. It is so fast and easy to make, you can literally whip it up in minutes.

The thing that makes this fruit pizza the BEST is the crust. It’s not your usual sugar cookie crust, that you usually find on fruit pizza, it is so much better.

It takes minutes to throw together, and has a soft yet chewy texture to it. You are going to want to try this recipe.

HOW TO MAKE PATRIOTIC FRUIT PIZZA

Step 1: Make the crust.

  • We prefer Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk. It has always been our favorite, and it has an easy pull back lid that requires no can opener.

The thing I love about this recipe, is the crust. Usually fruit pizzas have a sugar cookie crust.

I am never one to complain about a sugar cookie, but I feel like it is such a bland bottom. It’s so floury, and takes away from the fruity flavor.

So I love that this recipe is a graham cracker crust.

Combine the crushed graham crackers, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until well combined.

Step 2: Spread the dough into the pan

I’d start by spraying the pan with non-stick cooking spray. This will allow the slices to come off easier, as well as create a thicker base, that won’t crumble.

Spread the mixture out on a pizza pan (you can also use a 9 x 13 baking dish).

Step 3: Make the sauce.

This is more of a fluffy filling than a sauce, but delicious and made with Greek yogurt, so I feel healthy eating it.

In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and powdered sugar until fully mixed and smooth.

I used a hand mixer to combine these ingredients, but you could also do it by hand.

I also recommend that the cream cheese is at room temperature so it smooths easier and you won’t have bumps in your “sauce.”

Step 4: Spread the sauce and decorate.

Spread this mixture over the graham cracker crust, leaving a little graham cracker crust showing.

Decorate your pizza with the strawberries and blueberries, and sprinkle powdered sugar over to finish.

Can I make this recipe using other fruits?

I love this recipe, because any fruit will go with it. I chose red and blue fruits because I was going for a patriotic theme, but you could easily make this recipe with any fruit you desire.

I personally love the fruit selection on our Mini Fruit Pizza Recipe or our Sweet Strawberry Fruit Pizza.

Wondering how far ahead I can make this. Going to a potluck tomorrow after church, and have all of the components ready. Will it be ok overnight? Better to make it before church or right before eating?

  2. Wendy Huddler says:

What did I do wrong? I mixed the graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla. Pressed it in a pan and packed it. The crust completely fell apart when I attempted to put the filling on.Not to worry because I just served it with a spoon. But did I do something Wrong?

  3. Cyd says:

We add the filling in small dallops all over the crust and gently pushed it around so it wouldn't fall apart.

  4. April says:

To make this healthier, while not sacrificing taste, could you use non-fat Greek yogurt? And also omit the powdered sugar? Would you need something else in place of the sugar or would it be fine to just omit since you have the sweetness in crust and fruit,…or would it be too tart w/o a replacement? Looking for your thoughts…

  5. Momma Cyd says:

We have only made this as directed on the recipe.
